Undergraduate
Major Requirements
- 30 credits of philosophy earned through at least 8 courses.
- No more than 8 credits can be at the 1xxx level.
- At least two 3 or more credit courses must be 4xxx or higher.
- Unless the student is completing a senior project as part of another CLA major, 1 credit must be earned in PHIL 4995, Senior Project (Directed Studies).
- Four of the courses in the major must meet the four area requirements.
- The other courses are electives.
- D grades are not permitted in major courses. Courses in which a student receives a D grade (with or without plus or minus) do not count toward the major requirements (this includes transfer courses).

Minor Requirements
The philosophy minor consists of 14 credits of any philosophy courses at the 3xxx level or above.
