The Department of Philosophy sponsors regular and special events that occur at the University of Minnesota. Special events include conferences and symposia with various thematic emphases in which our faculty and graduate students are participants and/or organizers.
The Department of Philosophy is hosting a reunion on October 16 and 17 that will include colloquia on philosophy of science and medical ethics, a panel discussion on health care, short presentations by faculty on recent research endeavors, updates on the department's plans for the future, and (of course) lots of good food and conversation.
